Superhero Madness, Part 3: DC

DC has been making waves in the industry these past few weeks. With the revelation that Ben Affleck is playing a Frank Miller-inspired Batman, speculation on the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice has run rampant.

Will Jason Momoa be playing Aquaman? Is David S. Goyer the absolute worst person to be handling this superhero universe? Is DC releasing 7 movies in the next three years?

That all remains to be seen. What we do know is that Man of Steel is joyless and that we all have various feelings about Christopher Nolan and the Dark Knight trilogy. J and I delve into these ideas and more as we conclude our “Superhero Madness” series with a discussion of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the DC cinematic roster!

Please be aware that this podcast will include some spoilers for all of the DC movies to date. Happy listening! ~ Søren

As always, you can listen to our discussion online or by downloading it here.

So what do you think? Does DC have any chance at catching up to Marvel‘s or X-Men‘s success? Are they taking their heroes in the right direction on the big screen? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
