Meet Our Staff
Søren is the co-founder and editor-in-chief at Movie Fail Reviews. He has been writing film reviews since 2010, starting with his first debut piece on The Dark Knight. For the fall of 2012, he worked at Amherst Cinema as a volunteer educator in the See • Hear • Feel • Film program. Through See • Hear • Feel • Film, he used the power of the medium and use movies to promote literacy and encourage collaborative storytelling in third grade students from the Hampshire County area. He is also the editor for the film section of The Daily Collegian.
Søren is currently at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst working on a certificate in Film Studies, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology.
Timothy co-founded Movie Fail with Søren in 2009 back when it was just an after school podcast. When he’s not busy watching movies, you can find him biking around Hartford, running through the streets of DC in his yellow Pumas, or re-outlining the novel he’s been procrastinating on for the last 3 years.
His friends think him a hipster, but he refuses to identify as such.
Tim is currently an undergraduate student at American University pursuing degrees in International Relations and Economics.
Michael often participates in Dueling Reviews and other segments on Movie Fail. He currently manages the Yurt Radio station at Hampshire and co-hosts a weekly radio program called “Mom, Are You Listening?” with Søren. Michael also enjoys performing stand-up comedy. During summers, he works with a program called Filmmakers Ink, where he teaches screenwriting, acting, and filmmaking to children. In his time at Hampshire College, he has written and produced numerous plays. Some of his work can be viewed on Youtube.
Michael is currently studying Dramatic Writing and Literature at Hampshire College.
Ari also participates in Dueling Reviews, as well as the occasional Top 10 list. A non-recovering addict of film, he’s been studying to become a cinematographer over the past several years. Or a director. Or a screenwriter. He’s not entirely sure yet, but some of his work is on Youtube. When he’s not studying, he’s probably hunting down anything that has Joss Whedon’s name on it.
Ari is currently studying Film/TV Production at New York University.
Josh writes reviews and other features for Movie Fail. He has been writing reviews for his blog Popcorn Culture for almost three years. When he’s not watching movies, he’s listening to film-related podcasts and procrastinating on his studies.
