Game of Thrones follows up one of its best episodes with one of its strangest. Nothing in “The Dance of Dragons” is weird in and of itself, but this week offered a shift in characterization for Stannis and his co-cast members that didn’t seem congruous with the rest of Season 5. Meanwhile Arya’s tenure with the Faceless Men continues to see artificial extension, Dorne remains a bore and while Daenerys finally does what we’ve all been waiting for, the scene is executed in a fairly lackluster manner.

We’re genuinely curious how people felt about what should have been a climactic moment for the show. Did that last scene work for you? Or did it fall flat?
Remember to tune in next week as we delve into the finale of Game of Thrones Season 5, “Mother’s Mercy.”
