You may have noticed that Movie Fail Reviews was down today for some temporary maintenance. There’s a reason for that: we have officially made the jump from moviefail.wordpress.com to moviefail.com. According to our calculations, this means you will be typing 10 less characters per URL entry – leaving you with just enough time in the morning to make yourself a cup of coffee. So hurray for the simplified domain name, and double-hurray for more caffeine!

As a part of this update, we here at Movie Fail would like to thank our contributors – Ari D, Stuart F, and Michael C – for adding such insightful observations to both our reviews and op-eds. Your committed collaboration is a boon to this site.

And most importantly, we would like to thank you: our steadfast readership. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of fans – intelligent, thought-provoking, and constructive comments come our way regularly. You are what keeps us on our toes, motivating us to probe deeper as we endeavor to provide you with articles on film and film culture.

Just so you know you’re not the only ones stopping by, here’s a snapshot of Movie Fail’s site stats since our official launch back in January 2012:

In September alone, we reached an all-time high of 3,500 unique visitors to the site (beating our previous record from May by about 1,000 readers) – not bad given that the site is less than a year old!
